On Saturday, February 3, 2024, SDC had its season opener at the 2024 Dive Lab Invite for JO events at the Miwok Aquatics Center in Novato, CA. Despite challenging weather conditions, last-minute schedule changes, and technical issues, all divers displayed a positive attitude, composure, and confidence. There was an exceptionally consistent performance across all age groups. As a result, SDC finished 1st in all three team event categories: Women, Men, and Overall.
The top three award winners in individual events were as follows:
- 11 Gold Medals: Arad Polak (12-13) on 1m and 3m; Sophia Narbut (14-15) on 1m and 3m; Camille Ching (16-18) on 1m and 3m; Tyler Wilson (12-13) on 1m and 3m; Nathaniel Lee (14-15) on 3m; Gunnar Grubbs (16-18) on 1m and 3m.
- 7 Silver Medals: Hailey Rea (11 & under) on 1m; Scarlett Wiens (12-13) on 1m; Claire Ching (12-13) on 3m; Victoria Gullick (14-15) on 3m; Alena Lotterer (16-18) on 1m and 3m; Nathaniel Lee (14-15) on 1m.
- 6 Bronze Medals: Rowan Hoffman (11 & under) on 1m; Isla Maayeh (12-13) on 1m; Scarlett Wiens (12-13) on 3m; Yarin Hugenmatter (12-13) on 3m; Lilla Kuziemko (16-18) on 3m; Jack Vaksman (16-18) on 1m and 3m.
