Questions

Common Questions

How do I know which program is right for my child?
For brand new divers, the Recreational / Learn to Dive program is the starting point. For children with some experience who want to compete, the Developmental Program is ideal. The JO Team is by invitation only. Fill out the enrollment application and we'll help place your athlete.
Is there a tryout or evaluation process?
Yes — for Developmental placement, we schedule an evaluation appointment after receiving your enrollment application. Our coaches assess ability, strength, and coachability to determine the best starting level.
What is the payment process?
Monthly invoices are sent to your primary email and are due by the 10th of each month. Payment is via QuickBooks online bank transfer only. A $100 late fee applies if unpaid by month end. Credit cards and personal checks are not accepted.
Are there breaks in the season?
Yes. Major no-practice periods include Memorial Day weekend, Stanford Graduation, and a competitive team break in August. The full schedule with no-practice days is on the Schedule page.
What gear do I need?
Basic swimwear to start. Team gear is available at the Official Team Store (DJ Sports) and additional merchandise at the Got Merch store. Links are on the Register page.
